Bandai Namco has announced more DLC for Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization. The Abyss of the Shrine Maiden series of DLC will be released over three chapters, with the first, titled Explorer of Illusory Mists, set to be released in North America and Europe on May 16, 2017.

The first chapter sends players to a new fire-based stage in Aincrad Castle where they are tasked with defeating the crimson demon, Bane. In addition to the new main scenario content, the DLC will include other sidequests, the opportunity to gain more powerful skills and items, and more character customisation options.

In the second chapter of the DLC, for which a date has not been announced, players will go to a new ice-based stage. The third chapter will add two more characters, Alice and Eugeo, as well as a co-sleeping event featuring them both.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization is the third Sword Art Online game to be released in the west and is available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. RPGamer has a review for the PlayStation Vita version of the game.
