ZeniMax Online Studios' MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online made an appearance at Bethesda's E3 showcase presentation to highlight its latest Dark Brotherhood DLC and some new changes coming to the game. The Dark Brotherhood adds the titular assassin's guild to the game — including associated story content, assassination contracts, and skills — and a new PvE area of Cyrodiil called the Gold Coast. Released for PC and Mac on May 31, 2016, the add-on will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One tomorrow, June 14, 2016.
The developer also announced an initiative called "One Tamriel" that it hopes will further open the game's world to players. The main goal of the initiative is to allow players of different levels to play together even if there is a level divide between them. The Elder Scrolls Online currently has an automatic level-scaling system that is used in its DLC zones and One Tamriel will expand it to cover the entire game. This will allow players to explore the world's locations in whatever order they choose (except for the Coldharbour zone that has prerequisite quests) and remove previous restrictions on groups outside of PvP. ZeniMax Online plans to implement One Tamriel sometime in the fall of 2016.
