A story trailer has been released for Atlus' 3DS sequel, Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse. In this trailer for the localized version, players meet Flynn, a young man who was slain and given new life in exchange for serving the demon who killed him. Now an unwitting tool, Flynn must save Tokyo against the forces of Heaven and Hell, and even some in-between. The trailer emphasizes the theme of player choice, of choosing a side in the war of gods, of supporting peace or anarchy. In the end, it is up to Flynn and his friends to save humanity in this last stand of heavenly, or hellish, proportions.
Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse has already been released in Japan. The trailer promises a summer 2014 western release. A special launch edition will also include a three-piece "Final Choice" metal emblem set based on the game.
