Fire Emblem Fates' second DLC map pack is now available to purchase in North America. This set of six maps features a connected storyline titled "Heirs of Fate" set in an alternate dimension where the children characters from both Hoshido and Nohr have to fight for their own and their parents' survival. The map packs use preset characters, so players' own levelled-up forces are unable to assist. The first map is available to download now for $0.49/C$0.69, with subsequent ones costing $1.99/C$2.89 and being released every Thursday until June 9, 2016. The map pack is also available to purchase as a set for $7.99/C$11.29.

Fire Emblem Fates is the latest in Intelligent Systems' strategy RPG series, released for Nintendo 3DS in North America on February 19, 2016, and comes in two versions — Birthright and Conquest — where players side with the nations of Hoshido and Nohr respectively. A third route, Revelation, is available as DLC. The game is set for release in Europe on May 20, 2016, with the Revelation DLC available immediately to those who purchase the physical special edition or on June 9, 2016, for everyone else.
