Defiant Development announced that it will be releasing a follow-up to Hand of Fate, its 2015 release that blends action-based combat with deck-building and roguelike elements. Hand of Fate 2 will be released for PC, Mac, and Linux sometime in Q1 2017.

The mysterious Dealer, who acted as antagonist in the first game, returns for Hand of Fate 2, which is set a hundred years later. This time, his goal is to train the new heroine in order to defeat the first game's protagonist, who has ruled the world as a villainous tyrant after outlawing magic immediately after his victory.
