Bandai Namco has announced that its beast-slaying action RPG, God Eater Burst is getting a remake for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita titled God Eater Resurrection. The game will be released in Japan this winter.

God Eater Burst is itself an enhanced remake of the original God Eater title and was released in North America and Europe back in 2011 as Gods Eater Burst. This new remake includes completely revamped graphics and a new high-speed style of combat that features more ways to devour the game's monstrous Aragami. It also features a new post-game story that ties in the sequel, God Eater 2. Neither God Eater 2, its enhance release God Eater 2: Rage Burst, or God Eater Resurrection have received any news regarding western releases.

Update (06.29) — The first trailer for God Eater Resurrection is now available from Bandai Namco and can be viewed below. The trailer also reveals the game's Japanese release date as October 29, 2015.
