Fire Emblem Fates isn't due out in North America and Europe until sometime in 2016, but news continues to drop for the game. The newest information for the game is that, for the first time in the series, Fire Emblem will feature same-sex marriages, along with confirmation that the game's two campaigns will be sold separately.
The two editions for the game are known as Birthright and Conquest. In Birthright, there will be a female companion that may be married by either gender after bonding. Conversely, in Conquest, there will be a single male companion that can be married by either gender. Additionally, players who buy either edition will have access to a third edition via DLC, the details of which will be revealed at a later date, though Nintendo confirmed both characters would appear in this edition.
