Mega Man is no stranger to Nintendo's Virtual Console, with many of its classic games already on the service, but now one of the RPGs in the series will be made available for the first time. Capcom is getting ready to release Mega Man Battle Network 3 on the Wii U's eShop, making it the first third-party Game Boy Advance title to be announced for the Virtual Console. So far it is only certain to happen in North America and there is no release date, but Capcom is negotiating to bring both it and possibly other future titles to Australia and Europe. Also, both the Blue and White versions of MMBN3 will be made available, so fans will get to choose freely between them.
Mega Man Battle Network 3 has been widely praised as one of the best games in its series, which managed to get six main entries on the GBA and several notable spin-offs. It tells the story of Lan Hikari and his NetNavi Mega Man as they fight to save their futuristic internet-driven world from criminals and terrorists. The two versions of the game share the same story content, but there are some gameplay elements unique to each, including Battle Chips, a transformation for Mega Man, and a boss.
