German indie developer Daedalic Entertainment has announced its first foray into turn-based RPGs with Blackguards. The game sees players take on the role of a convicted murderer whose team of questionable companions are called upon to help save the world of Aventuria. Daedelic Entertainment promises a tale of doubt, betrayal, and loss, with plenty of areas where the player may find their morality tested. There is currently little known about the gameplay, but it has been stated the game will include over 180 distinct battle maps.

Blackguards currently has no set release date, but it is expected on PC later this year. The game also has its own official page on Daedalic Entertainment's website here, as well as a couple of initial screenshots that can be viewed below.
