The Legend of Zelda; Skyward Sword

During the Nintendo Press Conference, Shigeru Miyamoto announced The Legend of Zelda's 25th Anniversary celebration. Miyamoto detailed many key bits of information surrounding what gamers can expect from the series this year.

First, Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is set to release this holiday season. There will be a Zelda-themed golden Wii Remote available for purchase when Skyward Sword launches.

Next up, Nintendo announced that The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures is making its way to DSiWare in September. This game will be free to anyone with access to the DSiWare shop, but Nintendo has not stated if this version will include The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, which the GBA version of Four Swords had.

Finally, Nintendo announced that with the launch of the 3DS eShop, gamers will be able to purchase a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX. The game will be available for purchase later today at the price of $5.99.

Outside of gaming news, Nintendo also noted that it will be releasing two music CDs to commemorate the 25th Anniversary. First is an official soundtrack for Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3DS, which will be free to anyone who is the first to register the game on Club Nintendo. Second is a soundtrack featuring orchestrated versions of classic Zelda tracks for the 25th Anniversary. This soundtrack will be made available at Skyward Sword's release.
