Developer CD Projekt held a conference today, revealing several pieces of information about the Witcher series. They announced that The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, which is being released May 17, will only have one worldwide version, and all versions will have the same content. There will be no censorship in any version of The Witcher 2, which has been successfully rated M by the ESRB. The game is fully-localized in English, Polish, French, German, and Russian, and will have subtitles available in a host of other languages.
To celebrate The Witcher 2's release, CD Projekt will be making The Witcher available on GoG.com, the company's digital distribution platform. Starting on May 10, The Witcher Enhanced Director's Edition will be available to download, along with a host of downloadable additions such as a promotional calendar, the CE art book, wallpapers, the soundtrack, and character avatars. From May 10-24, it will sell for $4.99, and after that its regular price will be $9.99.
