A new trailer for BioWare's Dragon Age: Origins aired last night on GameTrailers TV. While it didn't show much other than random cutscene violence, it did reveal the game's upcoming release date. Dragon Age: Origins is now scheduled for October 20, 2009.
Dragon Age: Origins is considered a spiritual successor to the Baldur's Gate series. Both games have players managing multiple-character parties while pausing to give orders to each individual in combat. Dragon Age will of course add to the foundation laid by Baldur's Gate, including features such as spells that interact with each other (i.e. fire can ignite a grease spell). Look for more Dragon Age: Origins information to come out of E3 next week.
