As a response to circulating rumors, BioWare recently confirmed that a Mass Effect iPhone and iPod Touch game is in development. A focus tester broke NDA and let details out about the game before BioWare had the chance to officially announce it.

The title will be set in the Mass Effect universe, and will be a side-story that focuses on one of the characters from the upcoming Mass Effect 2. It is being designed from the ground up as purely an iPhone and iPod touch game by a separate team than that which has worked on Mass Effect DLC or patches.

More information should be available later this month. BioWare also stated that more Mass Effect 2 details will be available in May or June.
