Developer Nevrax has announced that its hit MMORPG The Saga of Ryzom will soon be expanding. In honor of this, the company has set up an official website all about the expansion pack.

The aim of this expansion, entitled Ryzom Ring, is to give players more freedom of customization. The previously linked website has "Power to the Players" written under the name of the new pack, and the site is divided into the three sub-sections of Imagine, Create, and Share. Ryzom Ring drops a large toolbox in front of players, very similar to the ones used by developers. The players will then design and create their own scenarios for their fellow citizens. Created maps can be offered to the public or just certain players, as decided by their creators.

There is not yet a release date for Ryzom Ring, but RPGamer will be following this development in its weekly MMORPG Column.
