Arc the Lad: End of Darkness

Today, Namco announced that Arc the Lad: End of Darkness has gone gold and is scheduled to ship in North America on June 7. The story of End of Darkness features a boy named Edda whose life is changed by a mysterious girl.

Players can team up with over 24 characters from past Arc the Lad titles including the series' namesake Arc the Lad. The title can be played in single-player mode, four-player co-op mode, or online battles against up to seven other players. Defeat powerful enemies to gain cards to sell for items or rare equipment all while upgrading the characters and making them stronger.

"Arc The Lad: End of Darkness reinvents this distinguished RPG series with real-time combat, online gameplay and a massive collection of playable characters," said Jeff Lujan, Business Unit Director at Namco Hometek Inc. "With an unprecedented amount of content to fight, acquire and explore, the game offers a complete role-playing experience to both seasoned warriors and new recruits eager to join the quest."

End of Darkness was developed by Cattle Call and was released in Japan by Sony Computer Entertainment Inc., as Arc the Lad: Generation. Sony decided to pass on localization due to the slow sales of Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits.
