Namco's North American subsidiary has announced that it is publishing a game called Hellgate: London. Hellgate is an RPG for the Windows platform with a first-person perspective. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic London which has been overrun by a demon horde. Opposed to this invasion is a secret order called the Templar, which mixes technological and magical techniques to produce weapons and armor to aid in the struggle against the demonic host.

Hellgate: London features aspects of both RPGs and first-person titles. Replayability is augmented by randomly-generated game elements and branching skill paths. The player's character will be highly customizable in appearance and equipment.

The game's official website can be found here. Hellgate: London is being developed by Flagship Studios, which features the talents of individuals who have been involved in such games as Warcraft, StarCraft, and the Diablo series. A release date is not yet known.
