Square Enix announced recently that alongside the release of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children will also come a special edition of the movie. What makes this version "special" has yet to be confirmed; all that is known as of yet is that it will contain "bonus merchandise not available in the normal edition."

Also of note was the revelation of a "major announcement" regarding the CG movie next month. The date of this event is not yet known, but details will be reported as they are revealed.
