Composer Nobuo Uematsu has made a couple of notes in his online journal on Square-Enix's official site regarding Final Fantasy XII. Uematsu's creative juices have been flowing, as he has mentioned that he already has some fresh ideas for the music of the game and he's enthusiastically looking forward to working on the project. He also notes that he wants to try a few things in Final Fantasy XII that he hasn't been able to in the past Final Fantasy games.

Square-Enix intends to release Final Fantasy XII by the end of the current fiscal year, which means that it will arrive in Japan no later than March 2004.
