Goku Flies Again on GBA

The Dragon Ball Z anime series is certainly no stanger to the video game world. Recent incarnations on the Game Boy Advance, PS2, and original Playstation have experienced respectable market success. Now, the series is powering up for another showing on the GBA.

The new title will be a sequel to Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku, which was the Game Boy Advance's best-selling RPG of 2002. In Legacy of Goku II, players can assume the role of Goku, Gohan, Trunks, Vegeta, or Piccolo and journey through approximately one-third of the Dragon Ball Z story.

Gameplay highlights will include training, various quests, and of course, fighting. These tasks will take the player all the way from the Trunks Saga to the Cell Games, ultimately leading to a battle with the evil Cell.

"We are thrilled to continue working with the massively successful Dragon Ball Z license," Paul Rinde, senior vice president of Infogrames, said. "Partnering with FUNimation has allowed us to develop fantastic and totally engrossing Dragon Ball Z interactive experiences, and The Legacy of Goku II is no exception."

Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II is scheduled for a June 2003 release. RPGamer will continue to provide details as they emerge.
