Bethesda Softworks has released the first official patch for its highly popular RPG, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. The patch, available only for the PC version of the game, fixes a myriad of bugs found within the original game. In addition, it adds many new, useful features to the game interface. Such improvements include a continuous auto run feature, a health bar for NPCs and creatures for when you are in combat, and a difficulty slider allowing the player to adjust the game's difficulty setting.

Alongside the patch comes a new plug-in called Master Index: it is a quest to find the ten propylon indices. In return for completing this quest, you will receive the Master Index, allowing the you to travel to any propylon chamber, or return to the Caldera Mages Guild from any propylon chamber.
