Sony Online Entertainment has announced that the beta test sign-up for Verant Interactive's Star Wars Galaxies has begun. The beta is set to begin on July 5th. The company is accepting applications at its official web site.

Star Wars Galaxies is one of the many upcoming massively multiplayer online RPGs by Verant. Produced by the makers of the EverQuest series, the game takes players into the Star Wars universe where they will be able to choose characters based on the popular sci-fi series.
