Morrowind X-Box-Bound

A promising PC RPG under development by Bethesda Softworks, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind has been in the works for some time now, and an announcement today will make it available to a much wider audience when it is finally released. Bethesda revealed that the title, already set for PC release in the fall, will be released for the X-Box shortly thereafter. The game's project director, Todd Howard, confirmed that Microsoft has been an option for quite some time; "We've been working with Microsoft since we first heard about X-Box," Howard said, going on to praise the X-Box's hardware and citing it as one of the reasons the team has chosen to develop the game for.

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is a single-player game where players create and play characters, with a storyline that changes in response to the actions of the player. While no official release date was set, Bethesda did reveal that the game would be among the first X-Box titles to ship.
