The First Announced Title for the GBA Is an RPG

Today brings exciting news indeed. Nintendo of Japan has revealed a brand new development team, strangely titled Brownie Brown. Brownie Brown will officially open for business on June 30, and will be funded solely by Nintendo. The new company is based in Tokyo, and is comprised of former Squaresoft employees, most of whom worked on Square's coveted Secret of Mana. Secret of Mana's character designer and graphic designer will be joined by writers and programmers from the game to form the new team.

Brownie Brown's first game also happens to be the first game announced for the upcoming Game Boy Advance. Unsurprising considering the team's roots, the title will be an RPG. Magical Vacation, as it has been tentatively dubbed, will feature network compatibility and plenty of nostalgic goodness. Brownie Brown plans to have Magical Vacation ready for a Spring 2001 release in Japan, so stay tuned to RPGamer for any new information on this exciting title from a particularly talented and experienced new development team.
