As part of the campaign to promote the release of Grandia on the Japanese
PlayStation, Game Arts and ESP have developed the "Grandia Prelude". Here is
how the campaign works. First, the consumer visits their local Japanese video
game retailer where they can pick up a Grandia Postcard. Second, by filling
out the postcard and sending it in, the consumer will receive one of 10,000
limited edition demo CDs.
The demo cd allows players to visit a harbour and underground bar, as well as
use magic and special skills in battle. Three movies are also included on the
disk. The campaign runs from April 28th through May 24th. Grandia is scheduled
for release June 24th in Japan, August 1999 in the US, perhaps a similar
campaign will take place in the US..
