Japanese FFVIII release revealed

The next generation in video games begins this year, or early next year.

Square of Japan announced the game will be released this fiscal year, which runs through March of 1999, and also officially confirmed the game for U.S. release through Square Electronic Arts.

The American release date was not mentioned, nor were any other details about the game given.
