Beamdog has announced that it will release Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition on Steam on March 27, 2018. This was confirmed during a livestream that also gave more details about the game's release. Development on the title will continue even after the game's release, with the most recent development patches allowing for Premium Modules to be playable via multiplayer. This includes the new content in addition to the Premium Modules released for the original game.
Originally released by BioWare in 2003 for PC, Mac, and Linux, Neverwinter Nights was the RPG that first adopted the Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition rules. The campaign takes place in the Forgotten Realms setting, with the game also including a robust campaign creator that allowed online multiplayer. The Enhanced Edition will come with the base campaign along with two expansion campaigns: Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark. Planned Premium Modules include Kingmaker, ShadowGuard, and Witch's Wake.
