Games Farm and Kalypso Media have announced the release date for the upcoming action RPG Vikings: Wolves of Midgard. The title will arrive in Europe on March 24, 2017, and in North America on March 28, 2017. The game will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

With the announcement came a new trailer for the game, which shows off some of the game's action and features. Players will have the choice between controlling a warrior or a shieldmaiden from the Ulfong clan as they battle the Jotun in the days before the coming of Ragnarok. There are numerous available weapon types that can be upgraded with materials found throughout the game, including legendary items with their parts scatered through multiple levels. Vikings will also include a New Game+ mode, as well as a variant called "Trial of the Gods", where players can earn additional loot by surviving waves of enemies.
