Square Enix released a new story-focused trailer for NieR: Automata. Dubbed the "Glory to Mankind" trailer shows the game's post-apocalyptic setting in the year 11945 AD, during the 14th Machine War, where androids aim to reclaim the world from machine-based life forms. The video also highlights main characters — 2B and 9S from the YoRHa elite android squad — and some of the foes, such as twin brothers Adam and Eve.
In addition to the new trailer, the game was also the subject of a playthrough video by PlayStation's official Underground video channel. The thirty-minute video shows various aspects of the game including combat, exploration, and fishing.
Developed by PlatinumGames, NieR: Automata is a follow-up to the 2010 cult classic NieR. The game is due to be released for PlayStation 4 in North America on March 7, 2017 and in Europe on March 10, 2017, with a PC release via Steam planned for sometime during 2017. A demo is currently available for PlayStation 4.
