Japanese publisher Arc System Works and developer APlus Games announced that they will be releasing Damascus Gear: Operation Tokyo HD Edition on PlayStation 4 and PC. The game is a port of PlayStation Vita's Damasucs Gear: Operation Tokyo, which was released in Japan in 2013 and in North America and Europe in 2015, and will include revamped graphics, the original game's DLC, and extra story content.

Damascus Gear: Operation Tokyo HD Edition will be released first for PlayStation 4 in Japan on February 22, 2017, with a PC releasing via Steam following in spring 2017. It is not known at this time if the new version of the game will be available in English. The two companies also stated that another game in the series is currently in development, with a Japanese teaser website for the new game now live.
