During its "Uncovered" event, Square Enix announced that the release date for Final Fantasy XV worldwide will be September 30, 2016, for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Additionally, numerous other media were shown, including a new trailers, two different limited editions, a CG prequel film, a five-part prequel anime, and a new demo.
First, a new story trailer in English was shown, feauturing the voice of King Regis, Noctis' father, telling Noctis that the fate of their country now rests with him. Another trailer, titled Uncovered, serves as an extended look at game footage and story elements.
Two prequel projects were announced, the first being Kingsglaive Final Fantasy XV, a CG film that will cover the events that lead up to the beginning of the game. It will feature the voices of Sean Bean, Aaron Paul, and Lena Headey, though they will not reprise their roles in the main game. Kingsglaive will be made available before the game releases and will be bundled with Final Fantasy XV's Deluxe and Collector's Editions. The other project will be a five-part anime series, Brotherhood Final Fantasy XV, which will cover the adventures of the Noctis, Igni, Gladio, and Prompto before the events of the game. The series will stream on YouTube for free and the first episode is available now.
Both a Deluxe Edition and a Collector's Edition will be available for the game in North America. The Deluxe Edition, which retails for $89.99, will contain:

Finally, a new demo titled Final Fantasy XV: Platinum Demowas released during the event. The demo is available on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and follows a young Noctis as he is guided through his dreams by Carbuncle. Square Enix is also releasing a mobile game titled Justice Monsters Five that will be playable in the game.
