Square Enix today revealed that the debut title from Tokyo RPG Factory will be released in North America and Europe as I Am Setsuna. Previously known as Project Setsuna, and released in Japan as Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna, the game will be released on PlayStation 4 and PC (via Steam) in summer 2016. The game's PlayStation Vita version, released in Japan along with the PlayStation 4 version last month, will not be coming to the West.
I Am Setsuna has been developed with the goal of recreating the feeling of classic JRPGs, with Chrono Trigger cited as inspiration for the game's combat system. The game is set on a snowy island, with its inhabitants' ancients customs requiring a maiden to be sacrificed at a ritual site at the edge of the known-world periodically in order to appease the demons that rise up.
