Square Enix and developer tri-Ace are detailing a few more characters from their upcoming PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 RPG, Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness. In the main spotlight is the group known as the "King's Chosen," a group of elite soldiers of the Central Resulian Army, and three of its members: Gunther, Hana, and Dax. Gunther is the brawny, headstrong type who usually lets his fists do the talking but can keep a cool head on his shoulders in a pinch. By contrast, Dax is the group's intelligence officer, and is the quiet, reserved type who fights with a bow gun. Rounding out the team is Hana, who, at twenty-two, may be young but also very gifted at signeturgy and the use of staves in battle.
Another character that receives an update is Relia, a mysterious girl seemingly without memories or emotions, who joins the party an a non-playable character in the hopes of regaining her lost self. When threatened, Relia taps into a strange but useful power that freezes all enemies on-screen for a time. She is also capable of supporting her allies through useful status enhancements. Relia receives her own trailer to demonstrate some of her abilities.
Rounding things out are two teaser announcements for in-game dungeons and an image gallery. The first is the Northern Territory of Sohma, Victor's hometown that has been recently buried in an enigmatic snowfall endangering the townsfolk. Then there's the Western Dakaav Tunnel, an abandoned underground mining system that's lain in dormant disrepair for so long that no one today knows of a certain path through it.
Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness will release on both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in Japan on March 31, 2016, and in North America and Europe on PlayStation 4 sometime in 2016. The image gallery and trailer can be viewed below.
