Trillion: God of Destruction

Idea Factory International released details on the limited edition for its upcoming tactical RPG, Trillion: God of Destruction. The limited edition will cost $57.99 and will be available to pre-order from Idea Factory International's online store from March 8, 2016. In addition to a copy of the game, the edition includes a sticker set, an artbook, a soundtrack CD, an 11" x 15.5" poster, and a collector's box.

The publisher also released a new trailer for the game, viewable below. The video gives an overview of the gameplay and was accompanied by information on how players can defeat a boss with one trillion hit points.

Players will have able to fight the titular opponent using six Overlords, but should expect for at least some of them to fall during their first playthrough. Trillion himself alternates between times when he consuming the Underworld and those when he is asleep. While Trillion rests ahead of the next rampage, players are tasked with raising their Overlords' stats for the next encounter.

Raising the Overlords follows a basic structure. First, players use whatever training regime they wish to earn stats points that can be applied to the Overlord. If the regime rates as Great or Excellent, they also get a medal to let them enter the Valley of Swords to earn more XP. However, training also increases the Overlord's fatigue, which can be relieved by resting. During a rest session, players can interact with the Overlord and build Affection Points with them. These are useful in battle but will also determine the game's ending.

Other methods of increasing the Overlord's power comes via a research lab to hire envoys to assist the Overlord in battles, as well as an equipment system and a battle against a mock Trillion named Mokujin. Once the training cycle ends, the Overlord faces off against Trillion. However, there's a good chance the Overlord will end up defeated, and so the cycle begins again with a new Overlord.

Trillion: God of Destruction is set to be released physically and digitally in North America on March 29, 2016 and in Europe on April 1, 2016. The game is exclusive to PlayStation Vita.
