Cameroonian developer Kiro'o Games announced that its Kickstarter-funded 2D action RPG, Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-Odan, will be released for PC via Steam on April 14, 2016. The announcement comes with a new trailer for the game, which is dubbed in the Bassa dialect from Cameroon.
Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-Odan stars Enzo Kori-Odan, prince of Zama, and his wife Erine Evou. On the day of their wedding and Enzo's coronotion, his new brother-in-law launches a coup d'etat and the couple must gather allies to reclaim the throne. The game is set on the world of Auriona, which is made up of six continents and features a mystical energy known as Aurion. Those who can harness this energy are called Aurionics and can give themselves superior fighting abilities for a short time.
Both exploration and combat take place on a 2D plane. Exploration features various forms of movement such as running, jumping, climbing, swimming. Meanwhile, combat is real-time with some strategic elements, with Tales of Destiny cited as an inspiration.
