Fallout 4

Bethesda has announced the first DLC rollout included as part of its season pass for Fallout 4. This first phase of post-release content will feature three pieces of DLC: Automatron, Wasteland Workshop, and Far Harbor.

Automatron is a smaller expansion that introduces a quest line where a mysterious man known as The Mechanic has unleashed numerous evil robots across the wasteland. Players will have the opportunity to hunt them down and destroy them, salvaging their parts to contruct a robot for themselves. Robots will have hundreds of modification options, from weapons to voices to color schemes. Automatron releases in March 2016 for $9.99/£7.99.

Wasteland Workshop is another smaller expansion, this one focused on player settlements. The DLC will add additional options for customizing settlements, including the ability to construct cages that will allow players to capture wildlife for display. Wasteland Workshop releases in April 2016 for $4.99/£3.99.

Far Harbor will be a meatier expansion, the largest landmass Bethesda has included in an add-on to date. Following a quest from the Valentine's Dectective Agency, players will travel to Far Harbor, a mysterious island off the coast of Maine, in search of a missing woman and a secret colony of synths. Players will have to negotiate between the multiple factions taking hold there with the add-on also adding new weapons, dungeons, settlements, and faction quests. Far Harbor releases in May 2016 for $24.99/ £19.99.

Bethesda also outlined plans for closed betas for each of the DLC. Interested players can sign up for the betas here (Bethesda account required). Selected applicants will receieve a download voucher and will not have to pay for the DLC upon release. This will be available on all platforms.

Finally, Bethesda announced that it will be increasing the price of the game's season pass from $29.99/£24.99 to $49.99/£39.99, due to its plans to release more DLC than originally planned. Those who already have the season pass will still recieve all DLC content without the price increase. Bethesda will not be increasing the price of the season pass until March 1, 2016 so players can still get the season pass at the original price until then.
