Arc System Works is bringing out a new RPG in North America this month. Damascus Gear: Operation Tokyo is a mech-based action-RPG for PlayStation Vita and will be released in the region on March 24, 2015 at a cost of $14.99. The game was originally released in Japan in December 2013 and is also planned for release in Europe at a later date.
Damascus Gear: Operation Tokyo is set in the year 2097, 55 years after the invention of the GEAR System that allowed mechanical creations to bypass normal mobility restrictions. This was followed by the invention of bipedal military units, and the eventual turning of those units against humanity. Eighty percent of the human population was wiped out in just two weeks, with the remainder living under ground. Players are part of a team that is attempting to win back the surface from these rogue machines in their own loyal, customised robots.
