XSEED Games has revealed the release date for its upcoming release of Nihon Falcom's dungeon crawler, Brandish: The Dark Revenant. The game will be released digitally for PlayStation Portable on January 13, 2015 at a price of $19.99. The title will also be compatible with the PlayStation Vita.

Brandish: The Dark Revenant is a reimaging of the first Brandish title, which was originally released in 1991. Players take control of swordman Ares Toraernos as he tries to climb his way through an underground labyrinth, having several encounters with his arch-rival, the sorceress Dela Delon, along the way. The Dark Revenant also features a Dela-mode, which is unlocked after completing the main game as Ares. Dela-mode allows players to control Dela Delon through ten additional, more difficult floors.
