Gauntlet is back, courtesy of the folks at Arrowhead Studios, the Stockholm-based development house that brought us Magicka. Although completely redone, the game sticks close to series tradition, providing a top-down hack'n'slash dungeoneering experience.

The new Gauntlet stars the Warrior, Valkyrie, Wizard, and Elf, just like the original titles. Each class will have its own strengths, such as high armour for the Vaklyrie and high speed for the Elf. Players can team up with their friends in online or local co-op play. Gauntlet will be available for the PC this summer, and is also slated to appear on upcoming Steam-based consoles.
