Hong Kong-based publisher eastasiasoft has announced Rainbow Skies, a followup to Rainbow Moon, the strategy RPG released on PS3 last year with a forthcoming Vita port. The game is to be built on Rainbow Moon's existing systems but will feature a new world, characters, and story. A number of improvements were also listed, including captured monsters that can become members of players' parties and be upgraded, an enhanced battle system featuring combo attacks, treasure hunt-style quests, explorable buildings, and new mini games. It has not been confirmed which systems Rainbow Skies will be released on, but the game is due to be released late 2014 on consoles and handhelds.
