Square-Enix officially announced today that the Final Fantasy XI beta disc for the Xbox360 is available. Vana'diel is now obtainable for 360 owners in the February 2006 issue of Official Xbox Magazine (available on newsstands January 17). The beta disc is not obtainable through any other means.

The world of Vana'diel will include both of the previously released expansions, Rise of the Zilart and Chains of Promathia, in one package. OXM will include steps for 360 owners to get themselves online, as well as other in-depth information. Final Fantasy XI will be in high-definition and 5.1 channel surround sound for the first time. A release date for the final version has not yet been announced.
