Final Fantasy XI Learns Alpha, Goes Beta
01.12.2006

Final Fantasy XI

With the talk of beta testing, the PlayOnline website is now open for registrating for the upcoming testing. To actually participate in the testing, a Xbox Live account is needed during registration.

Certain features normally included with past versions of Final Fantasy XI will not be included or accessible during the beta run at all. Some of these issues include incompatibility with USB peripherals (excluding the USB keyboard and mouse), certain European fonts and characters that cannot be entered, and the nonverification of the wireless LAN adapter for the Xbox 360. Some games, graphics, and movies will also be unavailble. Xbox 360 players will not be placed on the same servers as PC or PS2 players, but when that version is released to the public all three consoles will share the same servers.
