The official Wild ARMs website has been updated to include a teaser announcement of a new game in the franchise. Entitled Wild ARMs: The Vth Vanguard, the game will be the fifth entry in the main series.

Wild ARMs: The Vth Vanguard will see gamers returning once again to the world which is alternately known as Fargaia and Filgaia. Once again, the world's greenery is dying and the land is decaying into a Western-themed wasteland. The heroes of the story will be the adventurers known as Migratory Birds who, in Wild ARMs fashion, brave the ruined wastes to find a future for their planet.

The game is in development by Media Vision and is set to be published by Sony for the Playstation 2 console. No release date has been announced. RPGamer will continue to provide new details about this game as they are announced.
