The pages of a Japanese publication have revealed that Konami is in the process of developing the third entry into the Boktai series. Along with this announcement, also came the first details concerning Boktai 3. The sun sensor, Boktai's famous Game Boy Advance periphreal that allows gameplay to be affected by exposing the unit to sunlight, will see new uses and features. Also, a new gauge abbreviated "TNS," will be present for an as of yet unknown purpose. Furthermore, battles will move beyond only taking place in dungeon scenes, and will branch out into new areas. Django will also have the ability to transform into new forms.
