A surprise awaits those players who open their boxes containing the Pokémon Stadium 2 cartridge for the Nintendo 64. Taking the Japanese name, Pokémon Stadium Gold/Silver, the cartridge will be painted not gold, not silver, but a combination of the two colors, in a special cartridge reminiscent of the Zelda cartridges. The front of the Pokémon Stadium 2 cartridge will be painted gold, while the back will be painted silver, as in the picture below.
Pokémon Stadium 2 will allow fans of Pokémon Gold/Silver to transfer their monster data to the N64 and battle them in three dimensions of glory. Pokémon Stadium 2 is scheduled to hit North America on March 26, 2001, complete with the new cartridge colors. Check out RPGamer's preview for more details.
