Atlus released their latest RPG Eithea this week in Japan. The game follows the story of a group of adventurers who travel to the alternate world 'Eithea' to get back to their home world. This plot, sounding somewhat similar to that of Brownie Brown's upcoming Magical Vacation, is driven by gathering information which leads to new clues on the path to returning to the home world. Battles are fought without armour, and players must use spiritual powers to defend themselves. Attacks are similarly unconventional, using 'Madan', a special type of bullet, to get the job done. Just to top things up, the spiritual power used in defending oneself can be impacted by various game events, and in turn, its level can influence the outcome of other events.
Eithea is for the PlayStation, and is the third RPG for that system released in the past week. There is no word yet on whether the game will make it to North America. |
