Though Blizzard has been rather quiet about the Diablo II expansion pack since ECTS 2000, they released the name of the expansion pack to very little fanfare. In fact, the name was simply mentioned as one of the prizes in Blizzard's 10th anniversary contest, currently running on Blizzard's website. The expansion pack will be known as Diablo II: Lord of Destruction.

Diablo II: Lord of Destruction will add the Druid and the Assassin classes, new items, expanded stash storage, and new Horadric Cube combinations. The new character classes can be used in the original Diablo II campaign and the original classes may be used in the expansion pack's campaign as well. Diablo II: Lord of Destruction should make its way to store shelves early this year.
