Traverse town's theme has always stuck in my head ever since I first played Kingdom Hearts. It's catchy, peaceful, and you spend a LOT of time in the town just trying to figure out what the heck to do at first! The original is very peaceful, ballad-like and waltzy as well. I've taken that peaceful theme and turned it into a rockin' battle theme. Mixing this was a pain in the butt, and I had to actually take out some tracks in the longrun because they were fighting too much with the other tracks around them. A wise, wise man once told me "The best tracks in a song are often the muted ones."

This is my take on Magus' theme. The band setting is: 2 guitars, 1 drummer, 1 bass guitarrist, and a keyboardist. There isn't too much arrangement here other than an original solo and some alternate instrumentations, but I felt Magus' theme was good enough where it didn't need much work to make it sound great.

This is an arrangement of Chrono Trigger's "To Far Away Times." I was just kinda sitting at my piano earlier and I thumbed it out of the blue. My mom insisted I record it so she could listen to it in her car, so being the semi-obedient son I am, I did just that. I don't know why I started playing this, it just came to me for whatever reason. It was done in one take, so any mess-ups are a result of that

I've been wanting to arrange this song for a long time, and this contest finally got me off my butt to do it :) Nostalgia, yeah... I've always loved this tune, since I was 5 years old with my NES and Final Fantasy. So here it is, my take on the Temple of Fiends/Underwater Palace theme from FF1.

With the original theme, it always seemed determined and threatening to me, as well as melodic and solemn. So, in regards to the competition guidelines, I went for the extreme opposite feeling for this, making it carefree and cheerful. This theme is originally used in the Final Dungeon of Final Fantasy, but I feel my arrangement would best suit the ending credits as they're scrolling down the screen. I gave it that peaceful and hopeful for the future vibe and I think it fits well. The working title for this song was originally "Overjoyed", but I thought "Finally Home" would give it more meaning towards the ending credits feeling :).

The other day a friend of mine and myself were resolving a conflict that has been going on for a few months now, and some promises were made. Now, if these promises were ever to be broken, the results would be catastrophic, even deadly (in a non-literal sense). Anyways, after that conversation, this tune started rushing through my head and not much later I had the basis of my next remix, hence the name "Deadly Promises".

Just by listening to the sound-tracks of Final Fantasy X and X-2, you can tell the difference between X (which had Nobuo Uematsu on it) and X-2 (which didn't). But if you look enough, you can also see the impact he had on the new composers for SquareEnix. This is an arrangement of "Someday the dream will end" (FFX) and "1000 Words" (FFX-2). I found them to blend fairly well together and I've wanted to arrange both of them since I heard them in-game. This isn't one of my most glamorous releases, there wasn't really an emotional drive to do it, but none-the-less, it's my interpretation of these themes.

This is a piano arrangement of the 'Fortress of Doom' and 'Fear and Courage' from Lufia and the Fortress of Doom. I didn't plan out how I was going to perform the song, I didn't structure anything out before I started, I just sat down at my keyboard, opened cakewalk sonar, hit record, and started playing. This is the product that came from that.

I've done this combination of themes twice before, once in a pure cover and another in a spontaneous piano splurge. This time I wanted to really sit down and think about an arrangement. It's a typical rock arrangement of Fear and Courage and The Fortress theme from Lufia and the Fortress of Doom. Hope you all enjoy it :-)

I've been meaning to re-arrange this theme for like... ever? Yeah, that's about right. I <3 Lufia :) I'm not really sure what inspired me to use this theme, but I pretty much just sat down and said "I'm going to re-arrange this theme", then started. A few days later, this was the result. I was trying to make an arrangement with guitar, but not having guitar as the main instrument. I don't know how successful I was with that, but that's what I was trying to do.
