One of the most critically acclaimed aspects of Squaresoft's 1998 cult hit Xenogears was its soundtrack. As composer Yasunori Mitsuda's first solo job scoring a video game, the soundtrack's success transformed the young musician into an overnight sensation among fans of game music.

This is a pretty simple arrangement of a piece I really liked. I wasn't crazy about the lyrics, though... I used Sibelius 4 for the composition and the rendering was done by my friend Kouen. I hope you like it.

This one has a been a while in the making. I arranged this once before and that sucked. So I wanted to try again. I did, and it turned out somewhat okay, though very incomplete. Then came the RPGamer competition, Splendid Performance. I thought, "Hey, this should be an excellent chance for... uhh... this." So I finished it up and then sequenced it all, and here we are!

This is my favourite track from Xenogears, and probably my favourite Mitsuda tune. I'd like to dedicate this to TSSF, as I never would've started tracking if not for his influence. I hope you like it, Mat. Credit for the samples goes to Audigy, and myself, for tuning and looping them. Like most mods, this one is not Winamp-friendly.
