03.23.01 - Bloody Tears
Okay, a little spring cleaning in this update. I'll keep it short and sweet.
The Random Music Reviews section is morphing into something a little more.. useful? Instead of my babling on randomly chosen songs,
I've decided, with some prodding and advising, to feature the actual composers comments instead of my own. Why did it take me this long to
see that this makes more sense? Well, anyway, for those of you who contribute to the site, and I can't thank you enough for doing so, and want
to throw a few lines (paragraph max, please!) about your submission, I'll stick it under the Music Notes section for all to see.
Make sense? Good.
Vlishgnath: "HYREAHHH.. INNE HIREAH NJUUUUUUUGHAAAA REAAAA"
Nobody asked you.
Ah, adendum. Gwilym Wogan makes his reutrn to the land of RPGamer this week with a some new FF7 tracks. Definitely make sure to snag his MP3 remix. It's
pure gold. Gwilym was also kind enough to type up a little rant on why he left our music scene for a while, of which I'll feature on next week's update. I ran out of
time this week, else I would have featured it when it made sense. Sorry! 8)

MP3 Remixes
"Something to Think About (Who Are You Remix)" by Gwilym Wogan
A remix of "Who Are You?", the creepy detuned-piano song that plays during many of Cloud's inner monologues.
This remix is completely different to the original (thought still recognisable)...it's a very mellow, ambient mix,
with very lush strings and light drums. Later, it speeds up, bringing in some faster drumming, but
staying mellow. I apologise for the length/filesize of this, but I really
couldn't bring myself to shorten it. I hope you like it. Send me an e-mail if you do. Thanks. :)

"Black Metal de Chocobo" by Barfington
This song is not really meant as a tribute to black metal or anyting (I
personally dont like black or death metal too much, considering every time I
hear their singers voices, i think of either cookie monster or a dying cat).
Oh well, it has all the unnessicarily fast double bass over a slow dirge
like tune that black metal usually has. Read the song comments for more
details. One more thing: go to my webpage, and put good reviews for my
songs, to boost my pitiful rank:

Its not much so far, but you will start to get a glimpse of some of the
non-rpg music that ive tracked.
"Mining Town" by Gwilym Wogan
The song that plays when you are in the ropeway station, and also in a short
cut-scene where Barret tells the story of Corel's destruction.
"Oppressed People" by Gwilym Wogan
The wall market theme; also plays in some other places.
"Underneath the Rotting Pizza" by Gwilym Wogan
The slums theme. Also plays on the Nibelheim mountains.
"The Nightmare is Beginning" by Gwilym Wogan
Vincent's theme. Plays in the basement of the Shinra Mansion
