This is the third Shin Megami Tensei game to originate on the Super Famicom. Using some of the same music and visuals of Shin Megami Tensei and Shin Megami Tensei 2, this game has a heavy focus on replay with four different paths to take, along with the choice of being a male or female protagonist. Years after its SNES release, a PlayStation remake was released.
